Lotan has developed an effective, proven, threat-focused approach to Home Land Security. Based on the optimization of accepted security models, lessons learned in the field and fast adaptation to dynamically-changing circumstances, our methodology involves the identification of threat criteria (terror and crime), risk analysis, establishing well-defined standard operating procedures, implementing them efficiently and constantly monitoring performance.

| Safe Community and Smart City projects are usually complex projects requiring an integrated approach to implementation. The ability to implement projects of this magnitude requires an understanding of the local threats so to provide a customized solution. Our increased awareness to threats, both locally and globally, has called for a magnified response to counter these threats. We find in times of seemingly such turmoil, where the safety of our population is at risk, that there is a need to assist in the ability of governments/municipalities to enforce a sense of safety and security to their citizens. Threats to our cities, homes and lives, are they criminal or terror in nature inevitably forms a basis of fear and a feeling of losing personal safety. In order to keep our cities and neighborhoods flourishing and attractive to people from all walks of life we must hope to maintain our ability to act freely, without fear. |

| Lotan is a leader in the planning, design and construction of sensitive and public buildings with security considerations in mind. The development of terrorism and organized crime using latest technologies has extended the need for built-in security in many building projects that would not have been considered necessary in the past. This is a process that begins on the planning table and continues through quality control of the construction. |

| Hosting a major event the likes of, world championships, continental championships, large conferences, exhibitions and of course Olympic Games is a matter of international prestige and pride for any host country. The understanding of the host nation that security should be incorporated into all other aspects of planning is imperative in order to provide a safe and secure event while being cost effective. A successful tournament lies on the ability of the host nation to harness all of its resources and government offices to the "mission" without ego wars and with passion and zeal. Police, intelligence, emergency, armed forces and many other forces involved must join hands while undertaking the assignment. |
